The engines that come from the factory all have baffles built in for the pcv valve. If you look on the underside of a valve cover that is meant for a pcv valve you can see what the baffle looks like. The early Chevy small blocks all had a baffle in the valley above the lifters for the pcv that exited at the rear of the block. It may take making more of a baffle to get the system to really function correctly on a 216/235.
