After scraping some crud out of engine, I actually found the oil drain back holes. Looks as though there was a hole above distributor gear, but wasn't machined on later models. Maybe drilling it out and adding a standpipe may help with ventilation.

Anyhow, I saw someone mention putting a breather on the draft tube and mounting the PCV on the valve cover, I kind of like the idea.

A clamp on air filter would go right over the draft tube.
