Only had a little bit of time to work on the truck this weekend, I tried to time it by pulling #1 plug and turning it over til finger was pushed away. We could never find the steel ball on the flywheel. Watched the rotor and it did move as the engine cranked but neither of us saw any spark. Went back and just turned the key on and separated the points to see if they would spark and sometimes they would sometimes they wouldn't. I don't know if it was cause we were doing something wrong or if the points are bad. I thought points either work or don't work. What should I do now? Thanks alot!
