The taxes paid for the tires wouldn't have got too far via recycling. That's why there were sooo many tire piles in the junkyards, back in the day. According to the "links" provided by "HevyHauler",(Thanks,Grant), Iowa has a program that allows you to recycle your tires,since the fee is already incorporated in the registration fee. I took 6,8:25X20:00's to two tire dealers.The first one wanted $12.50/tire. I thought that was a little steep,so I drove another 30 miles,to another dealer,and they quoted the same exact amount. I paid,since I figured that was the "set" price for truck tires. I'm going to try Mr. Crenwelge's advice,and try Liberty tire,since I have 4 more to dispose of. Thanks,Guys!!
