John, please explain why "Wide tires and rims don't get along
with ball bearing front hubs".
I can't see any reason why the ball bearings, in good condition
and properly adjusted would have anything to do with what tires
or rims your running. I've been running '70 3/4-ton Chevy rims
and radial tires on my 3600 for nearly 15,000 miles now, with
the stock ball bearing hubs and it handles just fine.
I would say there is an alignment problem.
