I'm just wondering why this subject doesn't get the same "it's your truck do what you want" that most other modifications discussed receive. I did the switch in 1981 and haven't had a single regret. My reason was cold weather starting and the 12v really spins the 6v starter even below zero, no block heater involved, still original starter. I park outside in all weather year round. Ya it's not original but it gets driven.
