I completely agree with everything you said. But inject the human factor of using whatever cabling is available, whatever time they have to maintain their vehicles, nowadays, you don't even need to check the tires for 10 years. If you want reliability with the human factor involved, go with higher voltage. If you are an enthusiast like Tim, myself and most others here giving advice, you will be very meticulous about your maintenance. But not necessarily those reading your fine advice. So, balancing everything, if you are still using your truck as a daily driver to work everyday, you would be ill advised to not look into every advantage available.
