Ok I finally have gotten access to a computer again, and time to post. Here are the pics of my frame.
Frame pics After I removed the engine, it didn't look so bad as my friend made out. As well, I noticed that what appears to be the left side (sitting in the truck)canted in is normal, but it is the right side that seems a little 'straight' if that makes sense.
Two of the photos show how the leaf springs appear to be slightly off-set.
Maybe the only thing I need to do is pound the cross-member as straight as I can, and leave it alone.
