The motor through the firewall looks like it's for an AirFlow heater -- as in the link to the Accessories Installation Manual that you posted. AirFlow requires a Ranco valve. I bought the rebuilt and working Ranco valve for my '54 AirFlow heater on ebay. Probably over-paid, but I needed it right then.
