Those horns could be car horns or they could be the truck accessory dual horns (Matched Horns). The accessory dual horns were mounted in a variety of locations, but
here is the location shown in the GM installation manual.
On 1953 trucks, the standard-equipment seashell-style horn was mounted on the intake manifold.
