My feeling, non-scientific of course, is there'll be fewer reported problems once the parts market is fully shifted to ethanol compatible rubber parts. It seems to harden traditional rubber diaphragms prematurely, such as in the mechanical fuel pumps and carbs. That's my observation. YMMV
I've got nothing against ethanol per se, it's the manner in which it's been mandated by an agency of non-elected officials leaving marine, motorcycle, collector car, farm, and commercial users, etc. without viable options.
Given time, it'll all settle out and everyone will be happy.
