Great find! Looks like someone got a start on cleaning it up before you got to it. Getting it on the road and enjoying it is sound advice. Mine's in way worse shape body-wise than yours and it barely ran when I first got it. I got the motor sorted out now and am able to assess the other issues and come up with a plan of attack for the bigger things while enjoying the heck outta it and more importantly, without losing interest in the project.
btw, I didn't see "Hamb-Worthly" in your post but I noticed DADS50's mention of it. Take what those cats think with a grain or two of salt, as a pickup truck, it'll never be a traditional hotrod in most their eyes. ...That said, look me up over there. Same screen name. There's an Advanced Design sub group and a couple other pickup sub groups you might be interested in.
