I've been using name brand conventional oil in my car for the last 130,000 or so miles. Recently I purchased a semi-synthetic and used it. I'm going to swear to it that my car runs smoother and quieter. I never would've thought it possible on a car with 150,000 but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
