The orginal 6cyl linkage and pedal pushes the carb linkage forward. With the edelbrook carb I need the linkage to pull the carb throttle lever back not push forward. The pic of the linkage looks like it will push thre carb lever forward. I was thinking of using a floor mounted gas pedal with cable, not sure which will work or if any late model car/truck will work. The PS box will mount in the same location as original except it will be on the outside of the chasis. The issue is the length of the collum and fit to dash mount. Since the box is ouside of frame I will most likely need two U joints and a shaft in between to bring it to the box, correct?? I will also need to buy a PS steering conversion kit. Can't tell is eng position is close to an orginal V8, since I took a 6 cyl out.

if the engine were close to the stock position, the repro 5-9 V8 accelerator setup works fine, depending on how far off stock yours is, you might be able to adapt it .... for power steering, again it depends on how you have the engine positioned, and what steering box you use, but you'll need to cut the column and rag joint it over to avoid the exhaust and e-brake [not sure what was used there] - a 67-72 column with the auto shifter can work, or the stock one with the 3 speed shift box modified to use one lever/rod can also be used
