the original V8 linkage works on any V8 carb, with the original pedal,
pulling the carb arm - the positioning is not immediately obvious from the picture of the set, but the mount points already exist on your firewall for that linkage and you can see
here it works - you're welcome to try anything else you can find, but .... why reinvent what GM designed?
I believe I explained the original engine position in one of your other threads, if you have the fan within 1/2" of the rad without a very long fan mount spacer, it's nearly 6" further forward than stock [V8 about 6" shorter than 6 cyl], so your clearance issues will be unique
