My 58 did not. There were a couple of dimples in the fire wall, and I assumed that's what they were for. Works well with the original pedal and the V-8 I have. Looks to be in the same place as yours. But there were no holes and no welded nuts in the fire wall.
It was the firewall, not the floor. I can't think and type at the same time. Dangerous to do so.
