On a 1958 engine the oil path is up the center from the lifter galley to the bottom of the head bolt. Then it takes a right angle through a 1/16" orifice(most likely plugged on yours), then it turns up to the top of the block. Where it exits the top of the block there is a triangle opening in the head gasket. In this triangle is also the pass side center head bolt. Oil passes through this triangle over and up around this head bolt. Once the oil reaches the top of the head bolt it takes another right turn and goes over to the rocker connecter supply tube.
