John, machine wash the jacket inside out and zip it closed, otherwise the paint on the zipper will (with repeated washings) come off. DO NOT MACHINE DRY. This step is unnecessary. Reverse jacket to rightside out and place on hanger, air dry. Why don't we machine dry? Drying by forced hot air will fade the garment as well as the friction from the 40 minute tumble in the dryer drum.
