I drilled the hole, edge is 1 1/2" up from the mirror bracket. I positioned it so the bezel and gasket touch the raised portionon the cowl. Antenna looks good, and the hood clears it. But there's a problem. The lower bracket hits the electrical relay I mounted for the aftermarket fuse panel. Once I relocate that I'm home free.
