I recently completed the rebuild of my '52 steering box. Fortunately, there was very little wear and all it needed was a good cleaning and new seal/gaskets. Not wanting to find or wait for cornhead grease, I made my own by mixing 140 weight gear oil with all purpose grease. I dialed in the viscosity to my liking.
