Denny, no offense but I believe your experiment sucks.

I think you would need to use a smoothly rounded tube of something a bit less flexible than plastic. Also, using a drill at one end with the majority of the cylinder several inches from the center of the point of rotation, your going to have a wobble at the opposit end no matter what. Even a tire is spaced a bit in towards the center of the wheel, closer to the center of balance or point of rotation, than that of a 10" plastic bottle.

Your weight is way off. Let's just say the weight of a standard wheel and tire is at 50 pounds with say 2 oz. of wheel weights. How does that ratio into the weight and size of a plastic bottle with 2 pennies? Huge difference in weight ratios.

The size of the weight on a 30" tall tire by diameter is way off from the size of a penny taped to a small diameter plastic bottle at say 3" across.

To fix your experiment do the math and calculate sizes, diameters, and stick a rounded cylinder on a lathe where it can be centered on both ends eliminating wobble.

I fully respect all the posts and information you've provided in the past, but this experiment of yours seems completely half-assed and unlike what I'd expect from you. I don't mean to come off like a jerk, but taping pennys to a plastic bottle driven by a drill is not a scientific approach to challanging a conclusion others have made.

Again, I have no experience with this product and had not even heard of it before this topic. I stand neither here nor there, but I am a bit annoyed at your stand on this with no basis in fact.

Reexamine the science and resubmit the conclusions.
