What engine do you have? Is it in the 1956? I didn't know that the 56 had a foot starter. The starter that came off my 56 235 was a solenoid starter. It was out of a car.I have a 49 truck and was able change it over to the foot starter no problem. The starter you have in the pictures doesn't look like the one I took off the 56 straight six. It just looks like the V8 starter.
