I have heard about this but never experienced it personally. The coil can fail as it warms up. Pulling the choke out enriches the fuel/air mixture and allows a marginal spark to fire the fuel. At first glance, fuel starvation seems to be the culprit, but this isn't usually a temperature sensitive issue. Keep us posted when you find the answer to this problem.
