I measured up the hoses and in this kit they are two seperate sizes. The larger hose, vent, and splitter are 2-1/16" inside diameter. The smaller hose, vent, and splitter are 1-11/16" inside. The rings slip over the smaller port so you can eliminate the smaller hose. One goes on the splitter and the other on the vent under the dash. I don't know when these changes were made since I have several of the black rings kicking around from trucks I parted. The heater in my pictures has a date on the box from 1953 so that is a long way into the AD production run and it has the two different hoses. So after rereading the installation instructions the bushings are called out in the kit for the passenger side. So somewhere along the lines one heater hose size must have been decided on.
