Mike, I wish I was close by to help you. I am pretty sure it is something simple to fix.
BTW..I am surprized the BCCA fellow didn't assist you more. [ did he attempt to jump start your truck at all?]...call them again, you may get another fellow who is a better mechanical type.

Did you try what red58 said...a little bit of gas down the carb?
