Had a question about the Holly/Webers from Tom. Are you running a cammed up engine? He suggested running the Offy 2X1 with lower cfm Carter/Webers on my stock 56-235 or a single Holly/Weber (about 270 cfm). I went with the single Holly/Weber, found it's performance was great, but intend to run the Offy 2X1 setup on my rebuilt 60-235. I want to get the correct combo up front.
Secondly Dave, let me get a clarification on the cross brace....you're saying that you added a dog leg to the dr. side brace....not eliminating it. Correct? I found that they were really pretty critical in getting and keeping the front sheetmetal secure,aligned, and rattle free. I've seen some trucks without them, and noticed the dreaded "ill-fitting" hood syndrome.
