The hood fitting problem isn't usually caused by the doghouse but rather by the fact that the hood spring/hinge ***'ys are just fussy as can be. That area will drive you to drink but the front end really floats up/down on the radiator surround bottom. You must shim it accordingly. The fender side braces are there to help with the shake rattle and roll. Of course the engines purr so smooth that we never have any of that.  | | |
