Agreed. Also, check your hoses. If they are brand new or if they have ever been used for an air tool, they can contaminate the air stream. Paint spray hoses should be dedicated to the paint gun, never used for anything else.
Avoid fisheye eliminator if you can. Always better to eliminate the source of the problem than to band-aid it.
