The new one is about 2" shorter than the old one. The old one would actually just about touch the bottom of the tank while the new unit will be at "empty" and be a good inch or so off the bottom. I suppose as long as it registers full and empty its good to go. At least with the new one when it says empty I'll know I have a gallon or two left....but don't we all have to run out of gas once to see where "empty" really is? !! | | |
