I would expect a 56 1 ton to be really close to that 5000 lb limit by it's lonesome. You might want to borrow a bigger truck with a long wheelbas to tow that truck over the mountains. If it were me, I would get the tandem axle dow dolly that the vehicle rides on top. I seldomly tell Uhaul the actual vehicle I am towing, usually change it to a 2wd 87 s10. However ALL THE RISK WILL BE ON YOU!
What is your tow vehicle? 5000 lbs seems inadequate.
