#64517 08/19/2006 4:37 PM | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,098 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,098 | It sounds like what you have is a muncie trans (55-65 non syncro first gear) with a Borg warner R10H OD unit. The OD unit is the same length
as the long tail housing standard trans. All the internal gears are the same and connect to the OD mainshaft. If you have to replace the case you will need to drill a hole for the shift rail. Also you will have to reposition the rear end of the countershaft to fit the OD housing. If the OD trans was not previously installed in your 62 you may have to shorten the driveshaft as the 62 probably had a short tail housing. Fred
