There have been numerous posts on this conversion, and I seem to recall the general consensus was, more fuel down the same hole won't give you much more performance.
Fuel distribution with multiple carbs would be the ideal way to go. You haven't got much invested in your experiment, and you are having fun, so take some notes and let us know how it turns out.
