There is no way that a 1/2 ton pickup in 1963 ever had a 292 in it from the factory. 230's came out in '63 to replace the 235 (except in 4x4 models) the progression was next to the 250 and then finally to the 292.
If you KNOW then type it. If you aren't sure about something, say so. There's no shame in that. But don't type stuff that you heard or think you know, because the real shame of it is that someone on here will believe it.
I didn't say when the 250 or 292 entered service, because I don't know exactly. Don't take it personally. Just don't throw stuff against the wall to see if it sticks.:)
Jerry, that either isn't a 292 or it isn't a '62 or it isn't the original motor.
