Last week I took apart and brushed down the vent windows. Friday I applied Loctite Rust Encapsurlator; yesterday I sprayed them with black satin, and today with clear gloss. I'll skip tomorrow to let them dry and Tuesday or Wednesday I'll begin the reassembly.
