Well since the width you are aiming for is Ford specific and you said Ford instead of a giving us a target measurement, the Ford context was an important detail if anyone was even going to try to answer.
Its too bad the F--- label puts so many people off, but I will continue to suggest that asking questions outside the primary area of interest of most participants will mean getting few helpful answers.
And its not because no one wants to help, but because few if any know the answers.
Have you tried Rodder's Roundtable? There was a guy there who talked about an F-1 on an S-10 a while back. I don't recall who it was, but that's the kind of guy who might have contacts who have the information you are seeking.
The last F-100 frame swap I remember looking at was actually Cadillac Northstar front stuff grafted to homemade rear stuff. I don't recall any meaningful details and they would not help much anyway if I did.
At least one regular participant here has been suggesting putting AD pickups on Dakota frames lately. I've not seen it done and it doesn't help you at all, but it does indicate some openness to non-GM sources of parts.

I don't think you're going to get the help you need here, but I'd prefer to think its because we don't know, not because we're unwilling or put off by your Ford.
