I have had a 235 in my 49 for more than 10 years and the fan is very close to the rad. So close that I cannot get a fan belt by. I worry that I am too close but with a good set of motor mounts and no hot rodding of it I am hoping it will be okay. I cannot say I recommend having it that way and also do not recommend moving the rad foreward.
