there are 2 different ones with one being about .030" larger od which would be the one that would have gone into a p/glide crank. if you really have to beat the crap out of it to get it in there you have the one for the p/glide crank. if I an remember the part# off the top of my head they are like 56 and 56b. the proper one should go in fairly east
i would also mile the end of the input shafts to chk and see if the real one is not larger than the line up one
