Since he's dinged up the inside of the bushing with a tap, it's going to require an expanding-type puller with a slide hammer attached to remove it. The various methods using wet paper towels or grease need a smooth inner surface on the bushing to work properly. I'd suggest using a die grinder and a carbide rotary file to hog it out to a thin shell, and a cape chisel to split the remaining material and allow it to shrink away from the crankshaft bore.
