No gas in oil -one of the first places I checked cause its a 216 and if the oil got thinned-kaboom!
Im pretty sure its in the carb. I hate working on carbs-with all their small parts but one this old oughta be a cinch!
I got to work on a mid 40's willys jeep carb once and it still had all the leather gaskets and seals cause all the rubber was being used for the war effort. How cool to see though!

Oh yeah, there aint to much of the muffler left so that might be why Im smelling it so easy without smoke! | | |
