Just went out to the parking lot to look...I question my memory from time to time
A shaft comes out of the (passenger) side of the box, about 3" from the firewall, and "levers" down. In fact, there's an oblong hole in the firewall right there!
It's entirely possible that someone else modified this system before I got it, and I don't know what all the differences are.
I'll be replacing the blower motor before next winter, and thought I'd make sure everything else is functional while I'm at it.
