For what it is worth, spend the effort in making this work. My 66 had the Thrift-Air heater as described with the push pull knob with fan speed. I am a fan of ventilation, so this was bad. All I had were 3 different speeds of hot air. So I just left the floor vents open. I would have loved a deluxe set up, but could never find one in a junkyard, or for resonable money on ebay.
