For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 22 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 22 | Hello,
I ended up with a 261. So like a good boy I went a lookin and read tons of articles and ordered a Langdon's Stovebolt Catalog. But I have a few questions.
1st I read here that I need a adapter plate to move the water pump up. What is up with that, that wasn't in any articles I read. Where does one get these adaptor plates if I need one.
2nd what's the most I could shave off a 848 235 head before I run into clearance issues and what could I expect for compression ratio if I shave the head that much.
Thanks for putting up with me. I tried to search but my internet is going in and out and the computer won't let me do what I want.
