Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 360 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 360 | moving the water pump w/ an adaptor plate puts the fan and pump back in the original position in the engine compartment where it would have been w/ a 216 or 235. this aligns it w/ the radiator and is supposed to improve cooling by drawing the air through the radiator the way it was designed to flow. a member here, pre 68 dave makes them and has them avaiable on ebay (pre68dave). very nice as i have 1 and am waiting to get my 261 going. as for shaving the head i will look for the article i have that describes clearance issues w/ the valves at a certain milling. sorry cant find it right now but will look later.
