Ok now I See where the adapter plate comes in. Right now I have a 1958 Chevy truck 235 that the P.O. installed in the pickup and I can really see how much lower the fan sits I always thought it was a little wierd how low the fan and pump was compared to the radiator. Looks like I'm going to add that adapter plate to my list of things needed just to be safe, I haven't ran into any over heating issues yet but I hate to find out the bigger motor likes cooler water the hard way.
Thank you guys for clearing this up and thank you for that article Curt B. (kind of wierd saying that my Dads name is Curt Same spelling even) I haven't read that one before and it was very informitive. I saved all of he pictures of the article on my computer that is pretty much the direction I am going with this motor.
Thanks Again
Josh S.
Also Happy Birthday Truckernix.
