I pulled the distributor today. Considering the amount of dirt and grime it is covered in, and the fact the cap was left off for 30 years, I'd imagine it is no good.
I do, however, have one off the parts truck. The cap was on it, and it appears to be in much better shape. Here is a picture of it:

Is there any way I can test it to verify it is usable? I am new to this old stuff.
