I am looking at buying a 1953 Chevy 3600 pickup. According to the owner, the engine was rebuilt in the early 70's. Sometime in the early 80's, he pulled the spark plugs with the intention of replacing them, but never did. So the engine has been sitting, unrun, without spark plugs, since the early 80's.
The engine has always remained in the truck, which was stored in a barn in the mid 80's then outside under a tarp for the last couple years. Is there any hope for the engine, or is it going to be more expensive to repair it than buy a running 235 for it?
The truck is a couple hour drive away, so I have not been able to pull the head yet.
