wow , lots of negative opinions on this.

My 216 is being rebuilt now and the rebuilder said the babbited bearings actually are a plus on the splash oilers. (no bearing thinning)
I like that my crank still has the nob for a hand crank.

Possibly you could get a 235 cheap including shipping ,then rebuild that cheaper.

After many suggestions to the contrary,I decided to rebuild this engine ,figuring if it lasted 60 years (at least 40-50 running)
it can't be that bad.
