Here's what I did.
Fill your crankcase with the proper amount of oil needed for your engine (5 quarts) and than cut the tube so that the proper amount of the dip stick is in the oil to show the crankcase full on the dip stick.
Remember - size (or length) doesn't count; it's how you use - er - your dipstick!!
