1965 Chevy C10,
They will move back and forth slightly, that's normal. They do have clearance, they aren't cinched down, and this allows them to 'slide' on the journal.
This movement is lateral, not up and down...that wouldn't be good. This is assuming everything measured properly or plasti-gauged (?) properly. This has been my experience.
