I wish I could find the thread where all this was discussed recently. I have not had any good luck with any of the several I've inquired about. They don't like my truck because its modified, or limited to parades, mileage limitations but I could probably live with that.
In the past 30 days I checked with HeacockClassic and they were higher than State Farm. It depends on LOTS of factors. For me it was just a few dollars more to STAY with State Farm. Since I have multicar discount, my home is with them, I'm accident free, and a special bonus of 15% discount because I've been with them for many many years I have not found anyone that can beat their rates based on MY records ect....
They did require I take it to one of "their approved" appraisers. He appraised it and did not charge me anything and its insured for 20K.
Best thing to do is what we most of us do....ask a lot of questions and several of many companies.
